Josh and I got to head EAST this past weekend and shoot a wedding in Staten Island NY. Lauren and I met online when we pregnant with October 05 babies.. and we have kept in touch and both jumped into the photography scene. Lauren kept joking that when she gets married again she would hire me… WELL…. she got engaged and booked us right away. We decided to use it to our advantage and take a few days to explore NYC after the wedding, but that will come in a future blog post.
Lauren chose to have her wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island. We knew nothing about the venue, except what we saw online and in other photographs. When we arrived Friday night we attended the rehearsal and explored the grounds. It was stunning and something we are not used to here.. FALL LEAVES EVERYWHERE. It was gorgeous and we were so excited for Saturday. With her kids walking her down the aisle, Lauren was beaming and her future husband to be Philip was in awe of her beauty. The outdoor ceremony was a bit colder then we are used to ( ok ALOT colder) but it was refreshing ( in a really cold, needing fingerless gloves kind of way). The indoor reception was held in a Japanese inspired ball room and it was just gorgeous. We were so honored to be part of their big day, and meet their family and friends. We truly felt like part of the family on Saturday and enjoyed being around all the love that everyone had for the happy couple. After the wedding we even went to a hotel club/bar and had a few drinks and some dancing..it was AWESOME!
Here are just some of the photos from this awesome wedding!
