Stauffer Chapel Wedding | Rachel + Steve

Graduating from grad school and want to celebrate?  How about by getting married?  That’s exactly what Rachel and Steve, two Pepperdine Law School graduates, decided to do!

It was a bold undertaking to plan a wedding while studying for finals, but these two knew that it was the best thing to do for them and their families.  This way, their families could all travel out west to the beautiful beachfront community of Malibu and attend both the graduation and wedding at the same time.  Genius, right!

Plus, they have the added benefit of truly starting a new chapter of their lives and their relationship at the same time.  The day began at a private estate in the hills above Malibu with Rachel and Steve both getting ready in separate areas of the home.  They opted to do a “First Look” in a private gazebo located in a corner of the lush grounds.  It was a such a great way to start the day!

Then, while the property was transformed into the Reception venue, everyone headed out to a familiar location for these two soon to be wed.

On the oceanfront campus of Pepperdine University, Stauffer Chapel is a gorgeous wedding venue.  Their ceremony was so true to who they are and what their relationship will become as a they move into life as husband and wife.  It was filled with stories of their travels and the foundations of their love during the experience of serving together in Uganda.

They received personal gifts from their officiant and exchanged hand written vows.  While all this was happening, their rings were passed amongst everyone in attendance so all could have a chance to place their own well wishes and prayers onto these tokens of marriage.

After being pronounced Mr. and Mrs., while everyone else headed to the reception, we snuck off to where their life together began.  A truly special place to these two recent graduates… The Harnish Library at the Pepperdine School of Law!  It was so much fun running around inside the library where these two spent many hours together already.

This day came together beautifully and this couple got the chance to party the night away with their families, friends, and even professors!
