This love story, right out of the movies, takes place at Rancho La Patera and Stow House just outside Santa Barbara in the beautiful community of Goleta. Like all great cinematic love stories, there has to be a little drama. For these two, their drama goes back to the very beginning. He liked her, she liked him. But, they forgot to share this with each other. Then, at the last possible moment, just when she was ready to give up on him and move on, he made his move and they began to date. Their story continued, all the while getting to know each other and their families and creating new shared experiences.
Their shared faith is of utmost importance to them, so they made the joint decision to save their first kiss for that sacred moment when they became husband and wife. The gorgeous Rancho La Patera and Stow House setting was just perfect, with stately trees and open fields providing a breathtaking backdrop for this moment and the entire wedding day.
One of our favorite moments was early in the day as the guests began to arrive. Gretchen and Damonie shared a “no look” first look, giving these two a chance to check in with each other, ease some anxiety, and share some words of encouragement and a prayer. The entire day was filled with so much love, laughter, and just pure fun.
The day concluded with the newlyweds driving off into the sunset in their very own “Love” Bug.
This was an amazing day to capture and we hope you enjoy their Rancho La Patera and Stow House wedding photos as much as we do!
