‘Cause I gotta’ have faith

George Michael summed it up perfectly. Sometimes you just need a little faith. Luckily, Dawn Marie and James had just enough faith during their time online dating. Just before cancelling his account forever and giving up on online dating, James saw Dawn Marie’s profile and decided to give it one last shot, sent her a message and waited 24 more hours before he officially closed it down. From there, it was a coffee date, dinner, dating, and now they are surrounded by friends and family for their Moorpark Country Club wedding.

In order to get to this day, there was a quick trek up the hill behind their house to take in the dramatic view of Thousand Oaks. At this point, James dropped to a knee and suggested they go as an engaged couple for Halloween with ring in hand.

From there, everyone gathered for a Moorpark Country Club wedding for the next big moment in their relationship!

We love seeing couples embrace the modern age and ditch some of the traditional norms of the wedding day. Dawn Marie and James both decided to just do what makes sense and fill their bridal party with their closest friends regardless of gender. Dawn Marie’s Man of Honor stood by her side with James’ Best Woman flanking the groom’s side.

Then, the reception was underway, kicking everything off with a bubble grand entrance. After dinner and dancing, James cut what was quite possibly the largest slice of cake we have ever seen for the newlyweds to share.
