Allison and Jonathan got married in Maui but had a Braemar Country Club Wedding reception. It was interesting not starting the day with a Ceremony. It was more laid back and less stressful as far as arranging first look and photos, etc. We took some detail shots of the gorgeous gown and Louboutin wedding shoes (swoon) and then a few getting ready shots but headed right out for family photos on the green. After that we had about 45 minutes to ourselves with Allison + Jonathan to take some romantic wedding photos. We battled gnats and mud BUT got some AMAZING photos, especially the ones taken at sunset! That is my favorite time to take photos, sunset just gives amazing lighting and the ability to take some silhouette shots!

Once we were done with that we went back and got the party started!!!! From a choreographed first dance to a conga line, the reception was NON stop dancing and fun!
It’s not a reception without a CAKE and this was yet another delicious creation from Hansens! Once the cake was cut, the party was in full swing and Josh handles the open dancing while I take this opportunity to go shoot the wedding rings. Ring shots are probably one of my personal favorite details to shoot. I sneak off with the wedding rings to create some unique shots. Anyone can put a ring on a flower… and that’s great, but I like to use lighting to really showcase the bling ( in fact you some of my favorite ring shots from 2015 HERE)

Allison and Jonathan were such a fun couple and we really enjoyed getting to know them over the last year and being part of their big day! Thanks E + J
