Adventure, Pets, and LOVE! | Kristen + Mike Solstice Canyone Engagement Photos

Engagement photos with pets are guaranteed fun.  And when you LOVE your dogs as much as these two do, it is perfect.

Despite actually getting engaged at the beach, the adventurous side of Kristen and Mike took us to Malibu for some Solstice Canyon engagement photos.

Mike tells their engagement story best.

“Kristen didn’t make the proposal easy for me!!  It all started with picking out her ring.  Of course she wanted a diamond from one ring then a band from another ring… Kristen loves the beach and the sunset more than anything, and she is always harassing me about going.  So, when I finally try to get her to go for the day she fought me the entire way and then said we should invite her sister.  That’s when I had to bring her sister (Janet) in on my secret plan, so after me begging Kristen about going she finally gave in.  After spending the day relaxing and eating on the beach, it was getting close to sunset.  Now I was getting nervous.  After finding a perfect view on the beach to watch the sunset, I started my speech on how my life didn’t mean anything until I met her.  Just as I was about to get on one knee and pop the question she said YES! YES! YES!”

If it wasn’t obvious from that story, the love these two share is special.  Having the chance to take photograph their connection was almost as special.

Beyond the connection, we also had two amazing Australian Shepherds with us.  Kristen and Mike love their pups and having them at the engagement session was important.  So, we made sure to take some photos of the happy family all together.
