We met Rachel and Steve at the “grown up” Starbucks in Agoura Hills, why is it so “grown up”, well because they serve WINE and goodies there. We had a great time chatting about their wedding coming up in May and were super excited to be part of their big day!
For their engagement session they wanted somewhere woodsy and suggested Cheeseboro Canyon which is up in Agoura Hills. I dont mind hiking trails because it gets my steps in for the day ( anyone have a fitbit???) We chose the few hours before sunset to get the magical light, even though at the time.. it was overcast and there was no visible sun. ( THANKS LA) BUT…… the clouds moved away and we had gorgeous light for the entire session! I commented that some of the shots look like they could have been taken in the African Savannah. ( not knowing what trees are indigenous to the area.. to me it just looked NON AMERICAN.) lol!
We went a good ways up the trail and found pockets of old tree’s that had gorgeous shapes to them, as well as some fallen old logs, and of course rolling hills! I think the photos reflect how totally happy Rachel and Steve are and that really they are just booth goofy and fun and SO in love!
We hope you enjoy the photos!
People ask us why Engagement session are so important. To us it just isn’t “more photos” it is a way to get to know the couple before the wedding. It breaks the ice and give them a chance to see what working with us on the day of the wedding will be like.. UH TOTALLY FUN AND AWESOME!
and that way they are more comfortable having a camera around them. We then have spent enough time together that everyone is comfortable joking around and being themselves.
