We LOVE Montecito. It is like a photographer’s dream, the entire area is so photogenic, especially the Montecito Country Club. Most people hear country club and just think of sprawling green golf courses. But this particular one is so much more! It has an amazing view of Santa Barbara and I think the club itself is even better for photos.
When we arrived we toured the whole property since it had been a couple years since we had been there. Not much had changed, but we were excited to get to photograph an indoor ceremony here in front of the breath taking views of the entire Santa Barbara coastline.
It was great getting to know these two during their Santa Barbara engagement session and in the months leading up to the big day.
After scoping out some spots for later in the day, we headed upstairs to meet up with Kelly and introduce ourselves to the bridal party.
While Kelly was still getting her makeup done, we had a chance to get some photos of her amazing dress before Justin arrived at the property.
Once everyone was on site, we split up as we usually do, and captured everyone getting ready for the big moment.
Then, it was ceremony time! The girls were all gathered in the back room hidden from view as the guys made their way to the front. Last down the aisle was Justin, tears and all.
The bridesmaids collected one by one at the front and everyone stood in anticipation of Kelly’s arrival.
After making her entrance with her dad and joining Justin in front of the glorious windows, the ceremony officially began.
Once vows were exchanged and sealed with a kiss, we headed out to the gorgeous grounds everyone was overlooking just a few moments earlier. Thankfully, we had already scouted out some epic spots earlier in the day and we knew exactly where to go.
The timing couldn’t have been better with their romantic pictures all happening during the most romantic time of day… just before sunset.
Not to be outdone by the beautiful venue, these two looked absolutely stunning and so effortlessly got lost in each other.
Then it was time to get the party started! The new Mr. & Mrs. were announced and both their fathers toasted us into the reception with amazing stories.
With music, dancing and great food everyone was in a celebratory mood. It really could not have been a better ending to a beautiful day.
After the cake was cut, the bouquet and garter tossed, and the dancing dying down, we all headed outside for a little sparkler send off to wish this fabulous couple an amazing life together as husband and wife. A story about the sparklers, the ones that Kelly had ordered did not arrive on time, and she was really looking forward to it. Luckily we had 3 spare packs in our gear.. not enough for everyone, but enough for the bridal party so we did an exit with just the bridal party and she was thrilled!
