As many people know we love our tv shows, so we were looking forward to this tv themed wedding for quite awhile. There were plenty of television references everywhere, from various theme songs mixed in throughout the wedding day to the actual “Friends” couch set up as a photo booth. Clearly, these two are just as obsessed as we are.
The opening scene for this day was set at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Redondo Beach. We met up with Lesley as she was getting ready for the big day with a few of her bridesmaids and her mom. With hair and make up complete, the final touch was an amazing Vera Wang tuxedo.
Cut to the Redondo Beach Historic Library in the Bridal Suite. Natalie was getting her final touches done before she put on her gorgeous wedding gown.
With everyone ready, we ventured out on the neighboring oceanside lawn overlooking Redondo Beach for a dramatic First Look, complete with a surprise gift sapphire ring from Lesley to Natalie.
“Clear Eyes… Full Hearts… Can’t Lose.” These two will certainly not be losing anything. Natalie and Lesley chose to have Natalie’s cousins officiate the wedding and it could not have been a better choice. Completely unique and totally memorable, these brothers truly set up this magical couple for an amazing life together.
As the next scene opened, we were all inside the library and dinner was being served at the TV show titled tables! Shortly after, dancing was under way and this family LOVED to get down on the dance floor.
This was our 50th wedding we have shot. We could not have hand picked a more amazing couple. Not because they are both women, not because we loved the venue, but because we felt the love that Lesley and Natalie had for each other. From the day we met them at the bridal show, to their Solana Beach engagement session, to the e-mail exchanges leading up to the day. To us, that is what defines a couple… their love. Because every couple has a different story to tell and “at the end of the day, when it comes down to it, all we really want is to be close to somebody.” There are no words to describe how Lesley looked at Natalie when she wasn’t looking. This much love and devotion will carry these two long into old age. It is evident to everyone who knows these amazing women that they have both found “their person” in one another.
Like an epic season ending cliff hanger, “I don’t wanna wait” for these two to come home from their honeymoon. I want to know what the next season has in store right now.
And… roll credits.
