Newport Beach Wedding Photos | Katy + Sean

Sometimes an amazing couple from Colorado decides to get married on a boat.  Katy and Sean decided on their Newport Beach wedding and we couldn’t be more amazed.  These two clearly have a lot of things they love and have shared them with all their family and friends for their wedding day.

The day began getting ready at the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach.  As the guys strolled the grounds doing photos while the girls finished getting ready, Sean spotted a classic VW bus.  In his mind he thought… “that would be cool to take photos with…”  Little did he know, Katy had rented the VW to transport them for the day. So, we set up a first look and Katy surprised Sean.

Then, it was time to head to the harbor so this Newport Beach wedding could really get going.  We ventured over to Electra Cruises and boarded the gorgeous yacht, The Eternity.  This would be our wedding venue for the rest of the event as we celebrated and cruised around Newport Harbor.

Some destination weddings lack some of the details of your typical local wedding because everyone is from out of town.  Katy and Sean did not let this happen.  These two, Katy and her mom get most of the credit here ;), planned every detail down to the amazing hand painted cake topper to match the happy couple.

For those in attendance that might not be the dance party crowd, Katy and Sean went a step beyond just letting them wander the ship and take in the amazing nighttime views. They brought a casino on board so some guests could just put it all on red.
