This past weekend we headed out to The Oaks Club at Valencia, formerly TPC Valencia, for an amazing day. Laura and Bret chose this for their special “I do’s” and it is easy to see why. From dramatic vistas of the Santa Clarita Valley to the rustic style of the club The Oaks Club at Valencia was just the perfect location for their wine themed wedding.
One of our favorites on the wedding day is to see all the little details during getting ready. Laura had some quite special details; a special baby bonnet that magically transformed into a hankie for the wedding day and a gorgeously unique wedding ring made from her grandma’s diamonds.
Of course, getting ready details aren’t the only thoughtful details on the wedding day. Laura and Bret also had some great wine themed reception details. With gorgeous jewel tones and florals all around combined with hand written messages on corks to be combined into a display for their future home, there were reminders of their theme all around The Oaks Club at Valencia.
Before the reception, we had toured the entire grounds stopping at some breathtaking spots. We love the chance to catch a silhouette of the gorgeous blue Southern California sky with our amazing couple dramatically set against it. But, at The Oaks Club at Valencia, there were so many different spots just like this.
As we headed back to the clubhouse we rode past the bridal party preparing for the Grand Entrance and one of the groomsmen surprised us by chasing down the happy couple and leaping onto their golf cart. This was just a tease of the epic fun atmosphere that lie ahead as the wedding reception kicked off.
On a side note, as wedding photographers we have worked at many many wedding venues all over and The staff at the Oaks Club was AMAZING. Not only did they take amazing care of out the couple and made sure the day went smoothly, they checked on us. Not just ensuring we had a meal, but bringing us drinks, checking on us throughout the event. We were blown away by the service they provided and would LOVE to shoot there again!
