Calamigos Ranch Wedding | Spencer + Gary

It is always special to hear stories of how couples meet.  But it is rare in our world to hear stories of couples meeting in High School.  Spencer and Gary are this rare find.  Seeing photos of them throughout the years at events like proms and high school graduations made all those stories seem even more real.  One look at these two and it is obvious this love is real and has even endured Gary leaving for college and now careers and life together.  Perhaps it is their mutual calm and laid back vibe that has let this love last.  This relaxed mindset was definitely evident on their wedding day at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu.

Calamigos Ranch is truly the perfect wedding venue for these two.  They do so many weddings here that they have probably seen it all before and can now truly handle anything.  A laid back personality is just right for this wedding location because they have a proven process and do a great job walking you through everything.  To match their style, the Oaks Room seemed appropriate, from the amazing waterfall backdrop for the ceremony to transport you to another moment to the indoor reception area with all the windows and rustic touches making it really feel like an outdoor spot with all the comfort and convenience of being indoors.

It was such an emotional day and there were unique little touches throughout, like Gary serenading Spencer with his very own rendition of Latch.  Thanks to the help of Tiana at Exotic Green Garden, the whole day ran so smoothly it almost seemed effortless.  From getting ready and the first look all the way through the reception to the nighttime photos with the twinkle lights hanging from the trees, this whole day seemed almost magical.  Actually quite fitting for a Calamigos Ranch wedding day featuring two high school sweethearts.
