Woodland Hills Country Club – Sarah+Porter

Sarah and Porter have built their relationship in making each other laugh.  It is an often overlooked, yet extremely important part of every relationship.  We make each other laugh often and these two laughed just about the entire time during their engagement session in Malibu at Point Dume.

So, we knew we were in for a laugh filled day at Woodland Hills Country Club.  From greeting the happy bride as she was getting ready to hanging with the groom and all his guys in the ballroom laughter was a common element during the day.  This all makes sense due to the fact that after having endured 9 months apart while Porter was in Afghanistan, these two know exactly what it takes to have a strong relationship.  Maybe everyone doesn’t need a proposal that includes a mouthful of Oreos, but laughter is clearly very important.

With rain clouds looming overhead the decision was made to keep the ceremony in the California “sun” and hope that the rain held off until we had all moved indoors for the reception.  Hold off it did and provided a beautiful late afternoon for a hilarious ceremony complete with music quotations from KISS songs and all the guests singing along at one point.

From there we made sure we took a moment before the festivities to take advantage of the majestic Woodland Hills Country Club property and capture some romantics of just these two.  It is truly special getting to share such a big moment in two peoples’ lives.  We love to see the bonds they share, whether it be inside jokes and making each other smile or heartfelt memories that make each other tear up.  Capturing the love between these two and the bonds they share was easy as you will see in their Woodland Hills Country Club wedding photos below.
