Sun and moon, yin and yang, fire and ice… Thao and Jed
Opposites attract, it’s simply a fact. And on this day, these two opposites joined their lives together. These two became one. Everyone gathered to witness these polar forces in action at Mary Star of the Sea Church and then really let loose at Moorpark Country Club.
Their lives first crossed in high school Spanish class and progressed from their. After high school, they spent 6 years long-distance dating with Thao in school in San Francisco and Jed on the East Coast and serving in the Navy. So it was only fitting that their proposal brought them back to that same bench where the would rendezvous in high school, but 8 years later. They sat and posed for pictures and Jed took advantage of the opportunity to pop the question. From that moment all she remembers is Jed starting out with “Thao, its been a long time coming…” Then like most soon-to-be fiances… total blackout. Luckily, Jed remembers that she actually did say yes and put on that stunning engagement ring.
Before we all headed out to Mary Star of the Sea Church and Moorpark Country Club, the day began with everyone getting ready. With Jed donning his Navy Dress Whites and Thao donning her Bridal Whites, it was time for the “I do’s.” As they exited a few of Jed’s fellow sailors welcomed Thao into the Navy with a sword arch.
Then everyone made their way to Moorpark Country Club for the conclusion of the day. In sticking with the “opposites” theme of the day, sunny Southern California decided to add some rain to the day and like the amazing fun-loving couple these two are we all snuck back out into the rain for some fun photos embracing the weather.
One thing is for certain, while these two may be opposites, their friends and family all blended together brilliantly. After the amazing dinner, the dance floor was open and what an EPIC dance floor it was. From Cupid Shuffling to break dancing, Moorpark Country Club might as well have been a hot new club.
This entire day was SO much fun.
