It started out so simply. Two freshmen, living in the same dorm at Occidental College, that just happened to end up as Chemistry lab partners. Two years of friendship later, having spent many hours studying together in the Library, Andrew finally asked Patty out on a date.

After graduating college together and two and a half years dating long distance (between Indonesia and United States) there was nothing that could keep Patty and Andrew apart. These two have a lot in common, such as their outdoorsy spirit, so it was a perfect proposal at the top of Half Dome in Yosemite at the end of a 14 mile hike. Similarly, their engagement session in Malibu Creek State Park and Point Dume was so fitting and so much fun.

Having both attended Occidental College and it being the foundation of their relationship it seemed natural to be the home of the wedding day. With a beautiful hillside campus nestled in the suburban world of Eagle Rock, large majestic trees, and a garden feel everywhere you looked, there was so much the Oxy campus had to offer.

The day began with both halves of the bridal party getting ready in the large suites of the Langham Hotel in nearby Pasadena. With everyone looking their best, we all headed over to Occidental College and prepared for the First Look and the day ahead. The ceremony was held in the Booth Music Quad. It was a private and romantic setting with all the traditional touches you’d expect. The biggest surprise was that Patty and Andrew’s officiant was the same Reverend John Moore that married us over 11 years ago! From there, it was just a short walk over to Collin’s house for the reception. With cocktails on the back patio and dinner and dancing on the lawn just outside, the reception continued in the same fashion as the ceremony. Private, romantic, and just perfect for Patty and Andrew to begin the next chapter of their lives together.
