When Jillian contacted us about her Maravilla Gardens Wedding in July we were thrilled. Her and Travis were fun, down to earth and we had a lot in common. When she told us they lived in Arizona and wanted a Grand Canyon engagement session ….YES PLEASE!
They flew us out there Saturday morning and we road tripped from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon which was about a 5hr+ drive. We stopped at Cafe Pickles in Flagstaff and while nobody actually had their friend pickles… it was pretty darn good for a little mom and pop diner.
When we got to the Grand Canyon I knew I was going to be blown away but when we finally got to the point we wanted to take photos… Nothing could have prepared us. It was breathtaking, it almost didn’t look REAL… But it was. We went out to Shoshone Point.. which was about a mile and a half away from the main visitor center and then another 1 mile walk once you parked. The point was indeed a POINT and hiking over to it, I really felt as if I could have slipped and plummeted to my demise at any time. BUT even with a fear of heights and instant death.. I wanted these shots and so I went out and got them. At sunset we were at the Watchtower area which was more populated with tourists but a must have for sunset photos. We had such an awesome time and wish we had longer to stay and play at the Grand Canyon and hang out with our awesome new friends!
Our self taken instagram shot! a must have! 🙂
P.S- Check back Wednesday for our photo perspective on the Grand Canyon and random instagram shots! ( and to prove I was thisclosetotheendofacliff)
