When we decided to jump into the bridal show circuit again, we knew we had to bring our A Game. The process of designing the booth was pretty stressful, because I knew what I wanted but I kept letting other ideas come up and take off my focus. In the end, our booth ended up being fantastic and we got so many compliments on it. Especially our LOGO which we had backlit.. the LED lights in the photo look weird, they didn’t look like that though.. it was a purple glow.. just perfect!
Josh built this himself using hollow core doors, and creating a base to raise the doors higher. With brackets and whatnot holding it all together! The canvases were 24×36 and 20×30. We printed our 6×6 informational flyers and then tied them together with twine and of course we gave out candy in little kraft boxes with our logo on the top. Some things we didn’t get to do.. was lay the flooring with the transitional pieces to tidy the ends We ran out of time to add the trim on the bottom where the base and floor meet . We had museum lighting but decided to go with a different kind so we went without.
The vintage pieces were great.. but we are going to remove those pieces and add in a long counter ( hopefully with shelves) thats deeper to display our albums on and so more people can view at once. We feel it was a tad too vintage for our branding. We did love it.. but I think fashionably romantic, this is more romantic, vintage!
( also transporting this stuff was NUTS.. we learned to bubble wrap and bring a touch up kit also)
We did have help in the booth from our awesome friend Julia who is also a planner! She has worked with us before so she was able to be honest about us and I think it was a great bonus having her there! There were many times Josh and I would be talking to a couple/bride and she would start up a conversation and then introduce us when we were done.. so we didn’t lose that interaction.
All in all.. it was a great time, we met some amazing couples and already received a call. YAY
We LOVE our couples…. Nina + Henry in the photo behind us! Thanks for coming out and supporting us!
