Walt Disney Concert Hall Engagement Photos – Lily + Mario

We met Lily through our past bride Stephanie.  Lily was a bridesmaid in Stephanies wedding which we shot in Atlanta.  ( you can view those photos here).  Lily knew she wanted a more formal approach to her engagement photos at Walt Disney Concert Hall and when her and Mario showed up, they were STUNNING!   It was pretty empty there which is always great, it gave us ample opportunity to walk around the entire property using different sections of the Concert Hall as a backdrop.  We have shot wedding photos here before, as well as engagement sessions and every session has been different.
Lily and Mario really worked well with us, they knew what they wanted and it wasn’t hard to capture such great images of two beautiful people!

We get asked quite often, how can we make our engagement photos more personal?  We suggest choosing a location that has meaning to you, if you don’t ever go to the beach, that’s probably not the best place for the session.  If you love Disneyland, let’s go!!!!  If you love hiking or being around nature, choose a park or hiking trail.  We can offer tons of suggestions, but it should be something that makes sense.   We also get asked about clothing.  We always recommend being comfortable and yourself.  Lily and Mario chose a very formal look, which really complimented the venue they chose.  If you are going to the beach, a flowy sundress might work, or if you are a jeans and tank top girl, dress it up with some accent jewelry.  The guys can wear some jeans and a polo or dressy shirt, or totally dress down and just do a t-shirt that maybe complements the colors of their partners outfit.  The entire point of the engagement session is to get some fun photos before the more formal wedding day photos.  It also gives us a chance to get to know you, break the ice a bit, so on the wedding day we are already familiar with each other and friends! 🙂
